What is ACell Therapy?
ACell therapy is an FDA approved treatment for repair of damaged tissue. It contains natural proteins in including collagen which help in the repair process. Preparation for the Procedure
Before going to take first session of ACell therapy¸ you need to take care of some specific aspects.• Avoid consumption of alcohol in any form.
• Avoid intake of aspirin or any other blood thinners for almost 14-16 days before treatment.
• Done with prescribed tests and medication.
• Do not do smoking for at least a week or two before treatment.
How does it work?
Prior to the treatment, topical anesthetics are applied to the skin to numb it down so that the pin pricks caused by the injection do not bother the patient. The procedure generally takes half an hour to an hour and a half to complete depending on the size of the area being covered.

Downtime
There is no downtime with the treatment and a person can continue his or her work soon after the completion of procedure. However, it is recommended that rest should be taken for about a day to allow the skin to recover from the treatment. The swelling on the scalp from the treatment can last up to 48 hours.

A single session can yield excellent results. Further sessions a year or so down the road may be needed to maintain the excellent results and to further add to the thickness of hair achieved from the treatment.
